There is a wide range of different
entry phone systems. We will present 3 different types here that are
suitable for the elderly and disabled persons.
Loudspeaking entry phones are easy for everyone to use and can be
operated manually or by remote control without having to lift a receiver.
An entry phone with a receiver may be easier for some elderly people
to understand. The disadvantage is that you must be able to hold a
telephone receiver.
It is possible to combine an entry phone with a private telephone
exchange. This enables the user to answer calls from the entry phone
and ordinary telephone calls using the same set. A private telephone
exchange allows the user to choose between ordinary, hands-free or
cordless phone. |

280 Combination Telephone/Intercom
This
unit is a fully approved telephone interface unit, which allows
a conventional touch dial telephone or cordless telephone to
be interfaced with a Videx door entry panel. The SP280 allows
the user to receive and make normal telephone calls and also
to receive calls from the door station, via a handset. Calls
from either the door panel or telephone network can be put on
hold whilst the other call is answered. The unit complements
existing security equipment and affords additional security
to the vulnerable and less able.

VIDEX
VK6-TV
| Videx have now developed
a new Video kit which links to a television through a spare
Scart socket. This will enable the caller to be displayed on
the TV during a call (the channel will automatically switch
to the camera when a call is activated and switch back to the
previous channel after the call). Two versions available: using
a Videx intercom or a standard telephone set through the Art.280N1
interface. |

impared hearing. This is a timed, self contained, unit which
can be powered from the door entry system or by a seperate power
supply |
