Special coiled elastic
"bungees" can be ordered to protect the pagers from
being dropped, and a silent vibrate motor is fitted as standard
which is useful when used in noisy environments, where a beep
alert may not be desired, or when used by the hearing impaired.
The pager is also equipped with a clock.
TRANSMITTER UNIT
The transmitter unit
can be set to operate in different modes i.e.
a) 4 different users
can call one pager and be identified individually.
b) 1 user can call 4 different pagers.
or
c) 4 different users can call 2 pagers e.g. users 1 & 2 calls
pager "X", 3 & 4 calls pager "Y".
The location of the transmitter
and/or aerial will relate to the range that you can obtain from
your system. The standard transmitter can quite easily provide
ranges of a kilometer. Ranges can extend 1 to 4 miles when used
with the correctly installed external aerials (subject to geographical
conditions).
You may order additional
pagers at anytime, provided that you have the serial and base
numbers.
PAGER UNIT
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
When a call is received the pager sounds
an alert tone or vibrates silently and shows a numeric message
on the display.
MEMORY CAPACITY:
The pager can hold up to 8 messages which
are stored in a queue and numbered in the order of reception from
1 to 8, with number I being assigned to the latest message. V/hen
a new message is received, each previously stored message moves
up one place in the queue. If the pager holds 8 messages and a
new message comes in, message number 8 is deleted automatically.
The message number appears to the left of the numeric message
every time a message is shown on the display.
FUNCTION BUTTON
The pager has one function
button on the front used for power control, function setting,
reset and scrolling.
BEEP TYPE INDICATOR. A, B. C. D
This may not be used
in all applications, but the pager can have up to 4 beep types
which can be attached to the messages received. When a call is
received the beep type indicator A,B,C,D tells you which beep
type was attached to the particular call. The page is also facilitated
with two other types of beep alert. The second beep will provide
a melody in place of the beep sound. A third option is also available,
which is a double chirp followed by a short vibration. The fourth
alert is purely a silent mode operation providing just a vibration
from the pager.
MESSAGE DUPLICATION INDICATOR:
If your pager receives the same message more
than once, only one message is stored and is given the most recent
message number. The message call alert operates in the normal
way, except that the repeat symbol appears below the message display.
TIME DISPLAY & SETTING:
The pager displays the time constantly when
in standby mode is a 12 hour formal with am or pm indication.
When you first use the pager the initial time setting is 12am.
MESSAGE TIME STAMP:
In accordance with the setting of the time
indication, the pager records the time at which each message is
received and stores it with the message. When you are reviewing
stored messages, the pages displays the time stamp applicable
to each message after the message is displayed.
