One of the main features of the units is that
one can record speech for playback which serves two functions.
The 1st is used for auditive feedback. For instance, when
the number 6 is selected in a telephone number the unit will
repeat the word "six".
The 2nd is used to record messages which can be played back
to callers when required. Example- A called arrives at the
door, the user can select an appropiate message to send to
them I.e. "Call back later" or "come on in
I'll open the door".
Different switches can be connected to the units to control
the main features as can an external speaker and microphone.
There is also a built-in automatic answering facility which
can be activated. When selected it can also deliver a pre-recorded
message set by the user.
