BUTTERFLY PST-2 Remote Control Transmitter
BUTTERFLY PST-2 is an
intelligent remote controller that transmits infra-red (IR) signals.
Together with ability switches connected to it and IR-receivers,
PST-2 forms a complete environmental control system. The system
offers a physically disabled user an easy way of controlling his/her
environment right from the wheel chair or from the bed. Doors, windows,
lights, telephone and bed control as well as entertainment electronics
can be integrated in the system. PST-2 can be programmed to precisely
meet the needs of each individual user. PST-2 is designed to be
operated via ability switches. The number, operation mode and reacting
speed of the switches are programmable.
PST-2 features a bright clear display where all commands and functions
can be seen as numbers, letters or graphic symbols. The selection
of the desired function can also be assisted by built-in speech
output. This makes the use of the system possible even with no eye
contact at all.
Built-in / optional
features include:
- Assistive speech output.
- Direct electric outputs for controlling the bed or wheel chair.
- Direct electric control inputs for nurse call or other fast-to-use
alarm functions.
- Environmental Adaptivity (patented) that automatically detects
changes in the environment (such as a telephone ring, approaching
a door etc) and automatically performs or suggests corresponding
function.
- Support for single switch, dual switch and up to a full 5-way
joystick operation.
- Fast access Morse-coded one-switch operation.
- PC interface for Butterfly-2000 symbolic communication software.
- GSM interface.
