If you have a learning remote you want to use instead, you can teach
most learning remotes the IR codes to operate the IR Command Console.
You will need one of the preprogrammed remotes listed above to do
this. The special home automation codes needed are usually stored
under the AUX or CD function of the remotes.
Can be used with the Powermid and other infrared range extenders.
The keypad on top of the console provides ON/OFF, DIM/BRIGHT, ALL
LIGHTS ON/ALL OFF manual control of up to 8 X10 devies.
The IR7243 will only respond to X10 IR signals. Your remote must
be capable of sending these signals, either having them built-in
or by them being taught to it. As you will see below we have an
included a Pronto CCF file which contains the required commands.
The unit can get interference from flourescant
lights and/or "energy saving" lights and therefore should not be
placed in a room where these are used.
