Reduce Worry and Concern

Alzheimer and Dementia patients are constantly at risk. They risk injury from falling. A patient's confusion can lead to wandering away from caregivers. These risks not only worry loved ones and caregivers, but also can present significant liability.

We offer a range of security products that help to reduce the risks associated with falling or wandering. After installing WanderGuard equipment in your facility your staff will work with improved confidence and reassurance, knowing they have the tools to help keep your patients and residents safe.

Proving a Safe Environment.

By using our products, facilities can often reduce the use of physical restraints and sedative drugs while providing an environment that is focused on individualised, high quality care.

The WanderGuard® FirstQ® system.

Provides an alternative to locked doors and sedative drugs as a control measure. The system can help to improve the quality of life for residents by allowing greater freedom of movement. When a patient or resident is judged to be at risk of wandering out of a facility alone and is mobile enough to do so, a lightweight signaling device is worn on the wrist.

The WanderGuard® FirstQ® system encourages staff to focus on the individual needs of their patients and residents. Because the system’s audible alarm can only be cancelled at the door, staff members are forced to respond to wandering residents when they attempt to leave unaccompanied.

The WanderGuard® FirstQ® system notifies staff when a patient or resident wearing a signaling device is about to exit the facility, so that staff can assist the person.

Bed Pad and Pressure Pad.

TABS® pressure pads can be used with TABS® Select, Voice+ and Elite monitors to detect impending movement from a bed or chair.

Bed Pad

TABS® pressure pads allow carers to help reduce falls without compromising the dignity of the patient or resident.

Pressure Pad

When an individual at risk of falling moves to get up, the pressure pad senses the reduction in weight and signals the TABS® monitor to alert.

TABS Elite

The TABS® Elite mobility monitor gives carers a method of monitoring an individual in bed for fall risk in a dignified and discrete manner. A special pressure sensitive pad is placed under the mattress to alert staff when a resident gets up unassisted.

TABS Voice +

The TABS® Voice+ model enables carers to record a voice message. The message can be used to remind an at-risk individual to use their Zimmer frame or to ask for assistance before getting up.

TABS Select

TABS® Select offers two methods of monitoring for fall risk. A sensor pad placed on a bed or chair and the cord and clip assembly. Carers can choose the method that is appropriate for the patient or resident being monitored.
